Our institution provides free appraisals in our galleries or where the works are located. Appraisal studies are carried out together with an advisory board consisting of experts. The works that have been appraised are offered for sale by the Portakal Art and Culture House at auction or in our galleries if deemed appropriate by the advisory board and in line with the requests of the owners of the works.

Consulting

Our institution has contributed to the creation of important collections in our country by providing art consultancy services for many years. Portakal Art and Culture House creates collections by purchasing works of art for institutions and individuals, and provides advice to the owners of works in various branches of art on how to evaluate their works.

The Sakıp Sabancı Calligraphy Collection, one of the most important collections created with the contributions of the Portakal Art and Culture House, is one of the most comprehensive private Ottoman calligraphy collections in the world and includes the works of almost all of the important Ottoman calligraphers who lived from the second half of the 15th century to the 20th century.
