FERRUH BASAGA 1914 - 2010
Ferruh Başağa, who studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts, worked in the studios of Nazmi Ziya Güran, who continued his impressionist art style, French painter Leopold Levy, and Zeki Kocamemi, who adopted a constructivist art style, until 1940. Traces of the techniques he acquired from all three studios can be seen in the artist's unique style. After graduating from the Academy, he joined the Independent Painters and Sculptors Association and the Yeniler Group. In 1971, he founded the stained glass and mosaic studio as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts.
